"Crash" Caused by Flight Sim real weather!

Flying from PANC Anchorage to PASC Deadhorse, Alaska in a BAC 1-11.

Cruising at FL320 using real weather in Flight Sim my airspeed kept jumping instantaneously between 260kts and 315kts+. This appeared to be caused by the weather engine. It then jumped to a speed that caused Flight Sim to register an airframe failure and Flynet a crash.

As I feel that this "crash" was not my fault I request that this flight is removed both from my record and the records of Venture Hawaii my airline. I stress that this appears to be an MS Flight Sim problem. NOT a FlyNET problem.

Just spotted that both I and the aircraft appear to be at some airport called Big Lake, 99PA. The aircraft is in perfect condition with a rating of 99.9%

Is that why I've been penalised for both crashing AND not arriving at the correct airport?

My signature seems to have had a seizure as well.

First, why were you flying with crash detection and airframe stress causes crash enabled? This is something that has been said time and time again needs to be disabled when flying FlyNET because of the "flaky" nature of FS's crash detection and the problems with Autogen not being 100% suppressed by addon scenery.

Konny will have to make the decision on whether to remove it or not, but for the future, just remember to have all crash detection turned off and it will prevent this problem from happening again. If you crash on landing, FlyNET will still detect it even if the sim doesn't.

It isn't in the sticky posts here, either the ones related to setting up the FlyNET client or the one relating to Bugs and problems.

You'll have to forgive Chris, his way of explaining has been compared to being eaten by crocodiles.

Anyways, Crash detection in FS is wonky, and scenery issues compound this. The general rule right now is that if you experience problems, turn off crash detection. Flynet will still tell if you crash on landing.

Just had a total Flynet failure - luckily the dc3 kept flying - not sure if this is from the expanded load on the bandwidth recently or from all the various versions of the client that have been out recently - Id like to get to Cold lake from Jamestown NC sometime BEFORE christmas though.

Justin thanks for answering Jon - its a bit odd that the client deposited him at a 2500 foot runway miles from anywhere though - that ISNT an FS problem - Im asking as his boss that the flight of record be restarted at PANC

Lief - I would PM or e-mail Konny to get faster response. He doesn't always have time to check the forum.

As for the client hang, mine did the same 5 minutes before landing at Prestwick. I'll probably take another cancellation charge from this because I have to leave for work in 10 minutes and won't be able to try again until Tuesday probably, but yeah, these Error 500 bandwidth issues are getting to be a problem because it causes your client to hang up when it tries to update and the website is down.

Hi,

On one of my flights today the client was reluctant to close the flight after the parking brake was applied. I left the sim and the client running and checked to find the website was down. I went for a coffee and pottered about for about 15-20 minutes and when I returned to my PC the client had registered the flight successfully.
