I have noticed that at least in the Americas, Mexico City seems to be a HUGE import/export hub. Why is that? In the US you have KIAH, KLAX, KSFO, KMIA, KJFK, KDFW etc... that are HUGE cargo hubs and transfer ports and they seem to get a lot less than Mexico City.
In the cargo business its seems like the favorite quote is "Everything leads to Mexico."
Cargo/Package question regarding quantity...

Wounder if the background simulation could be adjusted so that there were more large cargo hubs like KDFW, KLAX, PANC, KMEM, KSDF and a few others around the world to mirror MMMX.

Re: Cargo/Package question regarding quantity...
We have some formulas that determine how many packages go between airports that take into account the population around the city, the number of flights going to and from and we also have a scaling factor based on volume of real world cargo per unit of population by country. For Mexico while lower than the many is still in the top 1/3 of all countries. So combine its large population with its relative popularity as a destination (its in the top 40 airports on FSA) its gets a lot of cargo.
