Real name vs user name

: I would very much like to hear a response from your staff as to why you request a user name and real name but you then just display the real name and not the user name? I get a lot of feedback from my members about this subject. I strongly suggest that you should show the user names or game names instead of the real names. You can keep their real names for your records but then just display their game name (which most people viewing would know them by). I would like a reply to this post, as it really needs to be corrected. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Agreed, A few of my members feel cheated that there username is only displayed on the menu bar, most of them don't want there real name displayed.

I can't speak 100% to the reason why the policy is the way it is, however I do know that the reason why the "real" name is required is due to some requirements in the way the site is set up. I personally can't tell you what those are as I don't know, but the way the site is set up, the real name is required.

I know you need there "real name", but why not have the "user name" show on the master pilots list instead. save the real name for administration use. Do you like your real name shown to the world ? I don't I am speaking for all my members. I really could ask my members to post there feelings but I am sure you have seen my pilots list and wouldn't want all those request to change lol

Konny will have to respond for a definitive answer. I believe the original idea was that everyone should be identified by their actual names. The 'username' is that what you use to log into the system as its very possible two people will have the same actual name.

as I said lot of our guys say that you shouldn't show pilots real names that's all but a user name instead
