Hi all
I am bust doing a merger. I have sold just about all my planes and now I need to move some cash around. We have setup a 744 for 1 day lease at V$1.8bil and when i try and lease i get "Because of your airline status you can't lease for this price" - any ideas what i can do to get around this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Merging with an airline
increase the amount of days for the lease to say 180. this brings the cost per day back into limits and it will allow you to lease it

Hey flightsimer
We did that last night even tried adding 3 aircraft for lease over 180 days and I still get a "Because of your airline status you can't lease for this price" message. Is there a way the admins can do this manually? OR an option i can just transfer the money. The airline i am joining has now bought all my planes but I am yet to get money to them. I have V$1.9bil, no planes and the leases are for 180 days. Is 600,000,000 for 180 days too high?

Hi
$600m does sound rather a lot for an aircraft probably worth $200m. FSA's "leasing screen" would probably suggest $10m per week, totalling $260m for 6 months (180 days), although even that might still not be "competitive".
As a test, I attempted to lease one of our B747s (worth $200m) for $22m per week for 180 days (total $587m) and the message I received was "Lease rate exceeds maximum amount of 2000000 per day", no mention of airline status (we have hundreds of aircraft and over $3bn cash). I would guess that the max lease rate per day is 1% of the aircraft value.
I have no idea of your airline's status (reputation, etc) so don't know why you are getting that message specifically: presumably an admin person can enlighten us as to the criteria that would cause such a message.

Re: Merging with an airline
when i have a merging airline come into me, i typically set up leased in the billions so im thinking its more of your airline's status...
if worse comes to worse, just set up multiple small leases
