OK guys,
I downloaded and installed the new client, and I booked my flight. I then ran the following:
- Active Sky 6.5
- FRAPS
- FS9
Set my flight up. Ran the client which started up fine. Was able to view booked flight.
Click on Fly Booked Flight, then as soon as I chose the option 'Standard' I got the following error:
Now the only thing that really bothered me is that as soon as I chose 'Abort', my entire PC froze up completely!
I quickly wanted to get all programs ended so that I wouldn't have to dump my machine. So pressed the Ctrl, Alt and Del to bring up task manager
Guess how long it took to come up !!! 5 minutes !!!
Then it took me another 15 minutes to get the menu of right clicking on the flynet.exe (of which was using 100% CPU and 1674MB of MEMORY !!!)
After clicking on 'yes' to close the program immediatley, the thing then seem to take another 5 minutes, then again everything froze up. This time without me being able to get the task manager to respond at all!!!
I then made the decision to dump my machine (first I tried simply reboot by pushing my power switch - nothing). So dumped it in the end!!
Thankfully my PC re-booted up perfectly and seems to be running as per normal, though I am running virus checks, registry cleaners etc just to be on the safe side.
Guys, I understand that your in BETA and I do realise that there are risks. But even to a noob like me using 100% of the CPU and 1674MB of RAM seems way too high!!!
Please let me know how I can solve this problem as it really did scare me!!! Especirally to say that my uni work is on here (I have made sure it is backed up now on the external hdd).
Thanks for replies in advance
CPU = 100% AND Mem being used = 1674 MB !!!!! HELP !!!

OK, I think I have fixed the problem guys.
Im running snapper instead of running FRAPS but I don't think FRAPS was the cause!!!
I think I may have installed the new client incorrectly (I over-writed instead of deleting the old client).
So what I've done is delete the old client, then re-downloaded and reinstalled the client and everything seems fine so far.
I shall take my flight and we shall see what happens
PS: Sorry about being all abussive before, but having that amount of resources being used by a single program alone is way to high.
FlyNet client is now using 2 - 5% CPU and 5 MB of RAM ... seems ok now.
