Do you have the timezones updates from Dennis Thompson installed? maybe some bug in timeshifting zones...? There was another thread about an issue with the timezones somewhere. All updates are available from AVSIM just do a search on filename = tz*.zip that should do it.... Not much else I can think ...

If it is over the same spot as well, you could have offending afcads (ie two afcads covering the same airport)......that is more often than never the reason for an instant shutdown of FS.

I'm totally behind you on this John. My preferences will always be either the ICAO or IATA code, and the airport could for that sake be anything, eg. Heavens Gate, Halvordur, or even...Chris ?? But as the whole site depends on the names instead of the codes, I totally agree that it should be the ...

There should be no doubt of this. Of cause the FlyNET airports DB should match the airports in FS9, if there are others in FSX, FlyNETs DB should be a merge of these two. Only when the SAME airport in FS9 and FSX should happen to have different ICAO codes action should be taken. (this has happen ...

It should be enough to hit parking brake, no need to shut off any engines.....

eg. you can hit parking brakes once you have turn off the RWY, wait for the ding, and taxi your way to the gate without the client noticing (if you like)

I might add that I run on a WinXP sp1 with .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed, I do not know which language the client or the autoupdate was written in, but that might make an influence too....

Another thing. Don't try to pin the flynet.exe to the startmenu (an XP-option) that certainly doesn't work.
