Addition of Airplane Articles

Post by alasizon »

Today, it was made possible to have airplane related articles. (The Bombardier CRJ 900 article has already been set up). I will continue establishing the base of these articles however, I am looking for real aviation photos to go along with them. I am looking for photos by you that show a side view of the entire aircraft. That said, if you are a member of airliners.net and have your photographs submitted there, that would be acceptable also provided they are your own photos. If you have any photos, please upload them to the wiki along with your name, aircraft model (if it isn't apparent) and location of photo.

will get some photos of these along with the 757 uploaded... i also have added info for all of the 757's and 737's and am starting now on the A320's. i have used all real updated numbers for deliveries/orders so far but can change them to FSA numbers if wanted... i kept them RW since the specification part is also all in RW.

I'm finishing of the Embraer Legacy 600 page. Then will add stuf to other pages, and make more new ones. As well as updating my VA wiki page.

Would it be kosher to list models, panels, and related files for the aircraft on these pages as well? Or would that be opening up a can of worms?

I believe the extent that we could take it to before it becomes a huge can of worms is a list of the freeware and payware developers and where their work is available.

That was my main idea. Just something to aid others in finding suitable aircraft for the types.

should this be made in a seperate list though or on the aircraft page itself. i think a list with everythign together would be best myself.

A separate list would be cleaner, but on the aircraft page itself would be more logical. Fortunately, Wiki mark-up lets you reference certain sections of another page, so perhaps a separate list with the aircraft pages linked to the appropriate section. To save further confusion, there should probably be separate lists for each sim that FSA supports.

I believe that our best option would be a separate page with a link to the specific sub-section for each aircraft under "Related Links" or "See Also" on the aircraft page.

I think that the idea of listing addons with the page is the best idea. Doing it with separate pages (even if just one long one) is more complicated in that it takes more clicks. It is much more effective to present all of your information on on page per subject than split it up.
