A388 pax capacity
The A388 in FlyNet has space for 525 pax whilst www.airliners.net says 555 for a 3-class configuration.

We're using 525, because that is what airlines are outfitting it with, the 555 is for shorter range operations, with less first class space. We've decided to go with 525, again, because despite the airbus claim of 555, realistically, we're seeing 525 seats on most airframes.
Most of the database also uses numbers a bit below what the airframe manufacturers claim, to reflect upon real world service.
I hope that explains it well, re-reading it it seems a bit jumbled.

my airbus book says 555 is the normal set up and 840 is the max???
and since we are on the subject of seats, why does the 321 have to different seat numbers when they hold the same? the -100 says 185 and the -200 says 199. they both hold 185 typical, and 220 max. so if u gonna have to different seat numbers, shouldn't the -200 be 220? only difference between the two is the -200 was made as an extended range version of the -100 and has some upgrades (1 extra fuel tank, upgraded engines, structure strengthening). just curious about that???
