My friend is using Windows XP Service Pack 2 with FS2004 and has never had any problems with any other clients. When he starts FlyNET it looks and works perfectly fine. After takeoff it shuts down and asks whether he wants to send an error report or not. What can be a solution to this problem?

Thanks

dodgy internet connection? server down?, just a few ideas. is this error you speak of the default " flynet has encountered an error, you would you like to send all my details to microsoft!!!" or a error report filed by flynet?

To Microsoft.

I beleive these issues derive, from experience of them, from a dodgy connection. If the connection drops for an excessive amount of time the program crashes. Easiest thing to tr, which may reduce this, is to disable flynet tracker. Then it isnt looking for a connection continiously.

find a file on your pc called flynet.ini

Open it

Go to the line called tracker and change the 1 to a zero and then save the file and hey presto there you go

There's no file called flynet.ini in mine or his computer. We didn't install FlyNET. There is only libmysql.dll and FlyNET.exe...

DISREGARD, found it.

You'll find the Flynet configuration file in C:\WINDOWS

You must close/exit the FlyNET client after each flight.
You cannot fly 2 or more flights on the original FlyNET client session. Close the current session after the flight has finished and you have your pirep information then Start a new session for each further flight.

I have Windows XP Pro also and i've been running FlyNet fine. Except for last night it would crash while i tried to select which method of fuel i wanted. After an hour it worked fine again.
