For the second flight now FlyNET has had a random crash. It comes up with the whole XP thing of 'Encountered a problem' etc. I can copy the error report from this if it helps.
Code: Select all

Running 0.6.8b client.
Cheers in advance

I have experienced this sames type of crash only once - last night - more than half-way through my flight.
The crash occured almost immediately after I made a VPN connection to my office - I thought about the risk of making a VPN connection, but when I read that we can use the client offline I assumed no impact. This clearly was not the case - does the client deal elegantly with dropped/redirected connections like this?
When I fired up the client and FS9 again in an attempt to restart the flight, it told me that I had no booked flights. I then gave up.
Today when I logged on I found a cancellation fee against my account:

Your booking has expired. You were charged 1993v$.
Please can someone give me my money bacK
I know it's not much, but it's a lot to me
Seriously
should I stay away from these connections? What is the impact if my internet connection drops momentarily?
Thanks
Andrew

I was browsing round the CBFS forums and noticed someone talking about running the client one flight after another. I'm pretty sure i did this on the two times it crashed. Coincidence?

Mine ALSO experienced a crash, no THREE, on the same flight I attempted. I thought it was because I am running FSPax and being online on VATSIM at the same time. Evidently not, 'cos I tried the SAME flight for the umpteenth time with just the client and FS running and OFFLINE. All was going well until BAM, no warning or anything, the client just disappeared from my task bar.
Irritated is not the word I would use to describe my emotions at that point. Just for the knowledgeable, I have used from client 0.6.4b up to and inclucing 0.6.8b, except 0.6.7b because it was replaced rather quickly.
Can ANYONE shed an light on my situation.

Crashed once again on a flight from RAF Valley to RAF Shawbury.
I'm using a wireless network and i think it might be when that drops out. But isn't FlyNET supposed to be playable offline?
But any ideas from anyone else would be nice too!

Have you turned off the flight tracker?

How do i do that? I've looked for documentation in the FlyNET folder and zip file but have found nothing.

It's right here -
http://flynet.en-studios.de/forum/viewt ... ht=tracker
It's the 2nd point under "
Client Crash on Dial Up connections". The word "tracker" is highlighted to help you find it.
