I'm mystified by this one. I fuelled up my RFP 742 with 199000lb using RFP's fuel loader, then started the client and hit 'compare' button. Startup, take-off and climb to cruise were OK. I had the fuel panel properly configured for each phase.

About an hour into the cruise the aircraft started to lose altitude. The engines were running as normal. She seemed simply too heavy to stay in the air. A check of the fuel panel revealed why... the fuel on board was now showing 240000lb. Very mysterious. The Flights and Aircraft menu items in FS9 were greyed out as expected and I certainly hadn't interfered with the fuel load since fuelling up as described above.

Not quite, it seems.
I've just run through a couple of RFP engine starts, identical config except that I had client 6b running first time and not the second. During startup, the two engines I'd started died. I checked the fuel panel, thinking I'd set it up wrong, but no. All valves and pumps were as per RFP manual for engine start. But the fuel in the reserve tanks was showing zero, and they had been full when I fuelled up. So the client is definitely interfering with the fuel load, even in 'compare' mode.

To confirm this I tried a second engine start sequence, this time without the client running. And as you can guess... all four started with no problems and the reserve tanks were still full after startup.

Hope this information helps. Looks like my RFP 742 is grounded for the time being. And just when I'd got it working with client 5b as well... but such is life.

I have used all the fill fuel methods now and all have worked or me.

But the difference is that I am filling a 777-300 that only has three tanks. One centerline the biggest and one in each wing. I say MANY different places to put fuel in the new way of filling each tank. But only the three I have will let me fill up the other say N/A.
