Flynet loaded to indentifier

Hi everyone

I did a flight yesterday and was told by the flynet client that I landed at the wrong airport, which according to my preflight document was not the case.
My employer was kind enough to point out the problem - "Flynet in their wisdom loaded to indentifier for the weather station which isnt on the airport" - But I am unsure what he means by this?

Thanks

There has been issues in the past where a weather station has been loaded as an airport, due to the nature the original database was compiled. Since Flynets selects the closest airport, if the weather station is closer, it gets selected instead of where you actually landed.

KIAH had this issue, as did CYVR. The solution/methodology to get around this originally was to simply park only at the terminal, not on any of the runways or runway exits. The database is also being checked by our administrators to remove any mistakes in it.

We appreciate having our testers relay WHICH airport the issue occured at, since it helps us to locate the problem and correct it. Sending an email to info at flynet.en-studios.de is the best way of contacting the management.

Cheers,

Its Honolulu and its happened to me and three or four of my guys now

You might also want to delete the WFO for Juneau Alaska as well

Ok Leif, Edited my comment appropriately :)

Anyways, we'll look into it. Send as complete a list as you can to Konny, with as many details as possible. I know how annoying it is (since about 8 months ago I got it twice, once at KIAH and once at CYVR with what appears to be the same issue)

Cheers,

If it really is a weatherstation which causes the problem, you can look up the ICAO-Code in your flight report and then the DB admins can delete that "airport".
