Can't detect FLight Simulator
Hi, I'm new to SkyNet, but I find it really appealing.
I've downloaded the newest client, registered a VA, created a route, booked it, and type certified. However, when I run the client, after having started flight simulator, it doesn't detect that FS is running. I click on Fly booked flight in the client, and a few seconds later it says that MS FS is not running (although it really is) I wish I could give you more info than that.
I've tried Runnign Flight sim in windowed mode, moving the client to my flightsim folder, making sure im on the tarmac with the parking brakes set, in the correct aircraft. But it just keeps refusing to recogninze that the Flight Simulator is running.
Any Ideas on what could be wrong?

Ok, I made sure I tried it all again before I reposted.
I started my FLight Sim (2004, ie FS9 with the Microsoft Update Patch) Before even touching flynet. I put my aircraft at the correct airport, with the parking brake set. Then I alt tabbed out, and started flynet, logged in, and tried to fly the booked flight. It popped up again saying "MS Flight Simulator is not running". I am using the newest version of the client.
I'm really stumped here, unless there's something I've forgotten.
I'm trying to fly a fokker 70, I have the project fokker 70 model, not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Anyways, still eager to try out, what for all intents and purposes, appears to be an awesome tool for a Virtual Airline!
(BTW, Sky Net, Flynet, for some reason I mixed up the two, I blame the Terminator 3 movie I watched last week )

Sounds like you don't have FSUIPC installed ( I really need to add a link to it in the Client-Thread ).
You can get it here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html ( FSUIPC 3.52 )

Hi Justin,
By saying remove all files you mean the files under the default directory (0.6.3b)?
The directory contains 3+1 files (actually log has been created after the initiall launch of client).
Does the client install something else to somewhere else? I will try later to uninstall and re install FSUIPC and WIDEFS.
Oh! By the way can it be widefs causing problem? Because I have started using it just before installing 0.6.3b.
Cheers,
Arslan

OK the problem is solved.
When you said remove the instalaltion (which I didn't :p)
It came into my mind that I could have also tried to remove and re-install FSUIPC.
did that and now it works.
Thanks for the help.
The problem wasn't 0.6.3b but something went wrong with my FSUIPC.
I think a disk error caused it right before I have installed the new client so I have suspected 0.6.3b because I was fine before
OK. enough words back into the air to carry pax.
Cheers,
Arslan
