Bug in the new maintenance implementation ?
Hi Konny/DK
It's not affected CBFS, yet, but I think a new bug has been introduced with the latest new maintenance implementation. DK, you made a 'big thing' about the fact that small bounces on landing that used to be recorded as one single event are now recorded individually and affect the maintenance calculation. That's all well and good if a 'good' landing is made. There are, however, several VA's/pilots that have had multiple crashes recorded on the one flight report, possibly as a result of this multiple landing record function ? In effect these people are almost grounded as the events have put them in the red and they are unable to continue operations. I may be wrong, but I have a hunch it could be the cause of the problems.

Its an excellent supposition , however what about those flights that we NOT in landing phase - in the case of BOTH the
gents in VHA the "crash" happened in descent and was charachterised by disconnection between the Client and MSFS
the message being "Flynet is unable to find MSFS" - I agree that the multiple recordings of crash may well be associated
with Kurts attempts to seperate each "touchdown" as a serparate event - however it does NOT explain the disconnection
in flight - I have pilots who have refused to fly specific aircraft due to this , As your aware we operate the same
equipment so Im baffled as to why we have experieiced this -Plus the problems we experienced started BEFORE the
implemanation of Kurts last update - I think there is very defintly a bug but I think its more than Kurts last tweaking of
the client. I still think a review of the server needs to be made due to the load now imposed on it
Cheers

Hi Leif,
I am describing someone crashing the aircraft and bouncing so multiple aircraft crashes are recorded on the flight report. I think your problem is a different bug from the one I describe? Are your 'crashes' a shutdown crash where FS9 exits and reports a problem with FlyNET.exe? It may be that the M$ FS9 shutdown is mis-informing that it's a client problem, I'm not sure. DaveB recently tried one route in the HS780 and only managed to successfully complete the flight on a fourth attempt by making a large detour south of the area he was experiencing the 'FS9 crash'. This points to a scenery/afcad problem and that is with default scenery. Has Scott got a different version of FSUIPC that you guys are using? If he has maybe he could try a different version.

Here is a fine example! Note the close times on the crashes. This is because my darn Dash 8 likes to bounce.

Yep I know! Right now my airline is at 49% and I am running half loads in my Dash 8.Andrew J Watson wrote:Wolfar100,
we had exactly the same problem when one of our pilots had that kinda 3 crashes when it was only one and now instead of having 150pax its down to 50pax. I think he contacted the guys and something will be sorted so no bother like.

Hi Guys,
Just as a suggestion to help you get yourselves out of a hole. Make a few very short flightplans A to B and back to A, pick one of your fleet which has loads of fuel and fly it's butt off between A and B. After each flight your rep will be slightly higher as long as your pilot makes a 100% perfect flight. Once your rep is back to an acceptable level then get your ops back to normal. If you need to refuel your aircraft that's running A-B-A and predict your flight will be at a loss if then get your CEO to reduce the multiplier to 50 for that flight. Also use the smallest aircraft in your fleet as any losses will be lower.

I made over 3.1 Million v$'s on my flight last night. BUT I did not have to fill the tanks much. I wonder if some of it has to do with the pilots rating as well. Even with those three crashes that were not crashes I now have a 59% rating but my airline only has a 49% rating.Andrew J Watson wrote:try 1/3 full A320's!!!
Were only making like 6 figure sums and at the most if we rly coserve fule we make 1,xxx,xxx its annoying but i trust it will be sorted when the right people have time.

Look at our FlyNET signatures. When you have recorded a crash the nautical miles goes haywire!
