How do I reactivate a type certificate if it has expired? Is the pilot prohibited from flying the aircraft type? Furthermore, flight bookings are not possible if the type certificate has expired.

Good bug, fixed.
Go to the page where type certificates are issued, you can renew it there, its about half the cost of the initial cert.

I would imagine this figure is a rolling 28 days? So - if you have a AI pilot that has, say 103 hours within the last 28 days, this 103 does not reset on the 1st of any month.

Also - when do the hour tabulations recalculate? I have several AI pilots that have under 5 hours spent at home, yet, a whole day could pass by and it seems that number never changes. For example, I have one pilot has 1.33 hours spent home. Yet - he's been home for the last 8 hours - why wouldn't that figure jump up?

yes it is a rolling 28 days as in the real world. Not sure where you are seeing "time at home". If you are referring to the time at home happiness score, I found out through trial and error in the beta testing that a pilot has to be home a lot more than you would think to bring that happiness score back up. I had a Hawaii pilot who always had layovers away from home and it took a week at home with no flying to get that score moving back in the right direction.

Okay - that answers all the questions! Thank you so much! Yes, Time Spent at Home. It's not a literal hour to hour but more of a "gauge". Makes perfect sense. Yeah - been running these pilots 2 x 10hr flights a week. Running 13 A380's and 20 AI pilots. Trying to find the perfect combination. I'm thinking these guys will fly once a week - that's it. I have several initial hired AI pilots, all indicate plus 100 hours within the last 28 days, and has not reset OR decrease as each day passes. As an example, Auto Von Echo.

As of March 4, I have not been able to book him since it shows 105.85 hours within the last 28 days. I would have thought, if this is a rolling 28-day total, that it would decrease 24 hours every day - but, that's not the case. I might be missing something in understanding the true definition of what "Flight hours in the last 28 Days" means.

Originally, i had created a schedule that had this pilot flying 2 x 10 hour flight a week. This would total 80 hours 8 months out of the year and 100 hours, 4 months out of the year. The same flight PHNL | KJFK. Perhaps that's unrelated.

OK, see if I can break this down for you:

On Mar 4 you went over 100 hours with this pilot. But none of those hours will come off the books until the 11th as you have recorded those hours between Feb 11 and Mar 4. So yes the days count but there are no flight hours to come off the books between Feb 3 and Feb 11.

So the confusing part is your pilot acquired more than 100 hours in less than 28 days so now he needs some time off to let things catch back up. And he needs days off that matter. In other words, the next few days you will see no change in his status as the "clock" is erasing days that he did not fly on (Feb 3 -11). So it's taking 0 hours off the board.

So to keep it simple (yeah right LOL), the system counts backwards from the present day to see how many flight hours have been accrued in the previous 28 days. So if your pilot flies 100 hours in like two weeks, he will need more than 14 days off in a row to allow his logbook to catch up to the hours of service regulation.

Hope this helps. If you think this is confusing, don't even try to figure out real world pilot schedules and regulations!

The last two values are how many days ago that flight was and the total hours for that flight and all after it.
As you can see the Feb 11 flight was 24 days ago and from that point they have 106 hours of flying. So it looks like for them to have hours to fly again they need to wait at least 6 more days. Let them enjoy their time off.
