What about a DISCORD server for FSA?

Nowadays, everybody knows that chat forums are a bit "old fashioned" communication system. Several virtual companies (included ours), have currently running a DISCORD server, where both virtual pilots and applicants can access to a bunch of chat or voice channels, with a lot of different functions and resources.
Obviously there are also restricted channels depending on the fact of who you are, Basic Pilot, or Expert one, o even an "invited member", which is only trying to have a look into the server, in order to decide if he/she are really interested or not.
Also, a restricted space is reserved for Staff members.

Well, in a nutshell, I would like to suggest to FSA Directive Staff in thinking about a near future DISCORD intercommunication system, instead of this old forum, which even still working properly, is going to be "old" in a short time.

Of course, it is only a suggestion from my side, and no more than this.

The idea of a discord server comes up from time to time. Personally I don't have much time to spend on chat or voice servers and rather than worrying that our forum is 'old fashioned' I would be more concerned that Discord servers are the flavor of the month and in a few weeks everyone will have moved on to something else. Not that long ago I was being pestered for a teamspeak server, where are they now?

I do need to update the forum software as I am quite a bit behind on that, which will probably need a new a new server setup. It just takes the time to do it..

OK, thanks for your kind answer. As you say, may be that a new forum server software would be enough to update the whole system.
Anyway, a Teamspeak server was really different and less useful than a Discord one. Moreover, as you know, a Discord server can have only chat channels. Voice channels are not really neccesary, and obviously, you have not possibility to voice chat, and neither your assistants.
