a future repaint, of my airline...

Post by flightsimer »

i would like to know wat people think about this rough draft of a repaint. i drew it out on paper, there is no color pallet, so if u think of one after looking at the pics, please post it along with any comments, even if they are bad. and if there is anything that can be added, to them that u think will better them please let me know on here.

here are the drafts. they are in the 747, and 737. the paints for the a/c are all the same, but i was just trying to show them on diff sizes of a/c. there will be 3 diff. colors, and what ever the color that the ribon like looking thing, where the line is thick on the outside, that will be a darker shade of the rest of the ribon. the logo is to look like the new york yankees logo, where the letters go ontop of each other... the large a/c had a second ribon goint in the same direction but started at the top of the plane by the flight deck windows, but curved in opposite directions, but unless u guys think it would look better like that i think its gonna keep just the one.

here are the pics. there are no wings, because i had to take them off to be able to make the paint scheme. the engine cowling would however look like the tail of the a/c... and the logo would go on the tail.

and please be honest in the poll, and ur replies. if u dont like it just tell me why, so i can fix it if needed...

Well I like the basics of it. The paint reminds me of the paint found on an AC500. With the lines running up to the tail. It'd be a lot easier to comment on with a better picture. Even if you used crayons for some color. Or scan your picture in and edit it with Photoshop or something.

But I think you have a great start there.

The logo looks like it might be a little jumbled. It would be easier to tell with a separate picture of just that.

Great start though :)

ya well wat i did was print out the outline, then used markers/ and pens to show diff colors, and i just hand drew the logo, because i couldnt figure out how to really show it on paint. and i havent been able to think of a color pallet, that was partly the reason i posted this, was to see if anybody could think of one... and sorry for the writing by the logo, my scaner wasnt working and i finally got it to work, and was in such a rush because of being excited i got it working i wrote the words really sloppy...

Well, I like it too.
To tell you more, I think it would be better if you have told us the colors used.
Only problem I can see on the current scheme is the placement of airline name on the fuselage.
From the scheme I can see that font size is almost equal to the window size. When the font overlap windows it might become unreadable.
I would have;
1- either used a real bigger font for "NORTH EASTERN" part so when it overlaps it could still be readable (a nice example is INTER Airlines of Turkiye http://www.ringwayreports.co.uk/TC-IEE_NF_190706.jpg)
2- or make it smaller so that, whilst "NORTH EASTERN" stays above the windows, "Airways" would stay below them.

Cheers,

ya, like i said, i just hand drew it just to get the feel for the scheme itself, and i couldnt think of a paint pallet, i was hoping someone that has seen it, would be able to help me think up of one, and as to the lettering, i was just puting it there, just to show its relitive local. i still havent been able to think up of a font, or size for it...

its alright, sort of not wat i was looking for though... not really a fan of the color, the tail and middle part of the strip would have to be redone.

used the NFL Panthers background colour as you stated.

Tell me what else you want and what kind of font you wish, the size, and the colour.

Also, tell me if you want US flag somewhere and what registration number.

If you need any other repaints that comes with paintkit, tell me.

Thinking about doing Boeing 752 for my virtual airline next, give me a shout if you want me to do yours as well.
