Aircraft Data
--Not a bug--
It's great that we can add our own planes to the NEtwork, but there are some issues.
Two that I noticed,
The 767 -200 and -300
The 300 is a stretch and carries more, but in the database currently, the -200 has more seats. I investigated, here's what I found:
Flightcrew of two, or optionally three. Typical two class seating for 18 premium and 198 economy class pax. Max seating for 290 at eight abreast. The Value for the -200 should be 198+18= 216
The -300:
Flightcrew of two. Typical three class layout for 210, two class 269 (24 premium & 245 economy seven abreast) max seating for 350 at eight abreast. Therefore, based on the two class layout it should be 269 pax total.
The other one like this that I saw was the DC-10 and MD-11, with the DC-10 having a very hig pax load despite being shorter than the MD. The price also seemed odd with the DC-10 being more expensive than the modern MD-11.
I can go over the list in more detail tommorow, if you'd like, and get as many of the pax values to a 2 class configuration.
Hope I can help,
Cheers,
Justin Martin

A340-300 335 in 2 classKonny wrote:I just changed the pax value for the 767-200, the 300 already had 269 seats.
If you find more errors, please tell me, I'll fix them as soon as I can. I only need the exact new values.
Thanks for your help
MD-10 (DC-10) 270 in 2 class
MD-11 323 in two class
Fokker 70 79 in typical configuration
Boeing 767-400ER 285 Passengers in 2 class config
Boeing 747-400 568 in 2 class Domestic, 416 in Long Haul Three Class
That's it for now, Those ones are fairly important (the -400ER 767 very much so, as well as the DC-10/MD-11 values)
Always glad to help out on this terrific project!

It really depends on the airline. I think the two class standard for FLynet is a good choice, as a lot of North American Operators use it. Air Canada has a first class, and a cattle class, I beleive Northwest is Similar. Some of the larger European and Asian Carriers have three class, but, as I mentioned, as a standard, the manufacturer 2 class config is what we should try to have most of the planes set up as. The 747 though is used mostly by 3 class carriers, so as it is its fine.Konny wrote:Ok, so there's no need to change the value.
I always try to get the typical configuration, which in most cases is the two-class-seating ( I think ) , but for longhaul-flights it seems to be different .
Cheers,
and Merry Christmas (Just a bit late, I've been flying all ove r Canada and the days really all blur)
Hi Guys,
While the subject is relatively fresh, just thought I mention that the A321 seats also could do with an update. Please have a look at http://www.airbus.com/en/aircraftfamili ... ayout.html for cabin layout info.
Many thanks for a great script, I wish I knew about it before I spent my hard earned cash on Airliner Pilot.
Oh and happy christmas and merry new year to you all

Hi Konny,
Just wanted to bring A340-600's capacity to your attention. According to Airbus' Website, based on a two class config, it can carry upto 419 passengers, here is the link http://www.airbus.com/en/aircraftfamili ... ayout.html
Thanks
Mehdi

True, but for longhaul we've used the three class config (like the 747 and the 777-300ER) For posterity's sake, maybe we should have 3 class config on all the Long Halul Aircraft the 330 (maybe) 340 definetly, 747, definetly, 777, definetly.DundeeFlyer wrote:Hi Konny,

EDIT:
The 777-300ER that Wardair owns has been devalued to the price of a 777-300, it should be about 220 million, not 198? Is the ICAO code (identical for both models) causing a database issue maybe? As i mentioned in a previous post, Wardair also aquired a Beech 1900D for some reason.
Anyways, minor fixes.
Im going to bed,
g'night from Canada!
Unfortunately there is no consistency within the so called "Long Haul" range aircrafts (both Boeing and Airbus). Some are three class based, some are two class based and some appear to be just estimated figures as the numbers are different to what Airbus or Boeing websites quote. A decision must be taken to either have all aircrafts 2 class or 3 class unless an option can be made available for Airlines to choose what they prefer when they purchase an aircraft. My vote is for 2 class for all aircrafts unlessan option is made available.
